Candlewyth is a 2.5D DRPG in the vein of Wizardry and Etrian Odyssey.

Story

Candlewyth of the Lanterns is a small roadside town where life revolves around light. Unassuming by day, by night the town is awash in light all the way to the Last Lanterns at the edges of town – as if to drive away every possibility of shadow. This ancient, half-forgotten ritual of illumination – lanterns on posts, candles in windows, lamps at thresholds and bedsides – is kept not so much from understanding as from habit and strange tales about what happens when the lights go out.

Lately the ritual’s efficacy has come into question. Townsfolk are beginning to disappear from even the well-lit houses. Rumors point to Ravenstowe, the ancient ruins on the outskirts of town.

The Lord of Candlewyth appoints you, a wandering hedge knight, Warden of Lanterns. You are to visit Candlewyth, question the townsfolk, and restore order.

Gameplay

• A challenging 2.5D grid-based dungeon crawl in the vein of Wizardry and Etrian Odyssey.
• Build your parties from 6 unique classes: Lantern Knight, Man-at-arms, Fen-fowler, Leech, Reckoner, Star Scryer.
• Harvest resources to keep your lantern bright and contribute any surplus you may have to Candlewyth's defense.
• Utilize light to gain bonuses, defeat difficult foes, and uncover secrets.
